Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) targets immune system of the host and destroy it. This leads the host susceptible to opportunistic infection. Viral RNA cannot transcribe DNA correctly, which brings number of mutations in its genomic structure.This is the hurdle where scientists are unable to produce exact medication against HIV. Virus get Integrated with host DNA and become provirus, so that during investigation, it shows absence of virus in blood stream.Anti-retroviral treatment manages CD4 levels of the host, thereby, managing the symptoms, but not curing it.
